Q. What can I barter if I don't own a business?
A. Individuals are welcome and invited to participate in the SynergyStreetTRADE community. Think of us as a company similar to ebay, but instead of buying and selling using cash, our members use trade dollars, or credits. Now, that opens up a whole new world of opportunity, doesn't it? Go to your attic, your garage, your closet and turn those “extra things” you've got around your home into purchasing power to improve your lifestyle and save money on things you might otherwise spend cash on. How about that used set of golf clubs, art, clothing, a lawnmower, or just about any product that you might find in the classified section of your newspaper or on sites such as craigslist. The good news is, that at SynergyStreetTRADE you don't have to trade directly with someone, you have a whole online community looking for just what you have! Oh yeah, don't forget the services you have as well. How about piano lessons, pet sitting, handyman services, tutoring, etc. You're only limited by your imagination, (and of course, the stuff has to be legal!).

Q. How can barter help me save money in my business?
A. This is part of what makes trade so great! If you have a business and have extra time or excess inventory barter is your ticket to greater profits! Let's say that you sell “widgets”. Your widgets cost you $50 to make and you sell them for $100. You have a 100% markup or expressed another way, a 50% profit margin. Now let's say that you need some business cards printed and the price is $100. Normally you'd have to sell 2 widgets (at a $50 profit per sale) to have $100 cash to pay for your business cards, right? If you barter, you only have to sell 1 widget! Why? Because another member of the SynergyStreetTRADE community saw your widgets listed on the website for T$100 (trade dollars) and they purchased them. The T$100 were transferred from their account to yours. Now you have T$100 (trade dollars/credits) in your account. You find a printer in the trade exchange community and pay them this T$100 for your business cards. The credits are transferred from your account to theirs on the website. How easy is that? Here's the bottom line: If you have ANY product (or service) in which you have a profit margin (or just something that you don't need and don't want anymore will do) and you offer it for trade and someone buys it, when you spend those trade dollars in the community you are in essence “buying” other products or services at your “wholesale costs” of what you sold. - Q. What can I barter on SynergyStreetTRADE?
A. Services-Any personal or business services can be bartered! Products- Have a product to sell? Any personal or business products can be listed to sell, new or used. Think of this as an eBay of sorts, but better; it's trade!
- Q. When I sign up, why do you need my Social Security # or Federal E.I.N.?
A. In compliance with regulations, SynergyStreetTRADE provides a record of sales to each member annually by way of an I.R.S. 1099-B form for your tax records. We need your S.S. or business E.I.N. for this form. All information on our site is secure and we adhere to the most strict privacy policy.
- Q. If a “Guest Membership” is FREE, why do you need my credit card when I sign up?
As a guest member you are not charged for joining or for listing or selling; however when you purchase from another member in the community you are assessed a 10% cash transaction surcharge. Your credit card is required to be on file for this purpose. You are not charged any fees unless and until you spend your trade dollars/credits in the community exchange.
